reduced alpha for high scores. Similar results were obtained the FCSRT (words), DMS48 (images) and Rey-Osterrieth (complex drawing) memory exams. APOE e4 carriers, and low-job-responsibility workers exhibited higher alpha1 power. Conclusions: These findings indicate that amyloidosis may be associated with two distinct phases. The initial phase of amyloid positivity is related to boosted alpha oscillations, especially in prefrontal areas, which may allow preserving a high level of cognitive performance, until the further increasing amyloidosis breaks down this performancereserving compensatory mechanism and transitions into the classical biomarkerand clinical manifestations of AD pathology.
