dementia (or AD) was not a significant predictor of digoxin concentrations. Conclusions:Dose normalized digoxin concentrations are not different between patients with and without AD, suggesting peripheral P-gp function is likely unaffected in AD. Given P-gp function is reduced at the BBB, additional analyses should be conducted to assess possible alterations in brain disposition of digoxin in patients with AD.
