APOE 34adults. Conclusions:A lifetime of combined occupation, transportation, household and leisure-time physical activity was associated with less cerebral amyloid deposition (higher CSFAb42 concentration) in adults at augmented risk for cerebral amyloid deposition (APOE 34+ carriers). These findings are consistent with the hypothesis that physical activity may be involved in the modulation of pathogenic changes associated with AD. Reference: Head et al. Exercise Engagement as a Moderator of the Effects of APOE Genotype on Amyloid Deposition. Arch Neurol. 2012 May;69(5):636-43.
