Methods: A total of 39 older adults participated in the memorytraining program and underwent brain MRIs and received the neuropsychological tests twice, before and after the training. Results:In MRI, thinner cortices of precuneus, cuneus and posterior cingulate gyrus and higher white matter integrity of the splenium of corpus callosum predicted cognitive improvement. Conclusions: Older adults with small precuneus which is related to poor learning strategies and a higher integrity of hippocampal memory network may be aided by the memory training.
