with age, gender, BMI, location, time of day of wandering, use of vehicle or missing person alerts. State by state comparisons showed excellent correlation with 2016 estimates (r1⁄40.91). Six states (DE,HI,IA,ND,NH,WY) had no reports; PA and TX appeared to underreport compared with Alzheimer’s Association 2016 estimates of Dementia prevalence. Conclusions: Publicly Available Online data sources can provide information on a variety of important topics including CW outcomes. Providing a subject’s picture may help in finding survivors. Bias in documenting outcomes and variability by state suggests prevalence and mortality are likely underestimated. Better data mining methods may provide a broader picture of Critical wandering and allow comparisons with other countries. These results may inform policy decisions regarding use of tracking technology in people with dementia.
