ity Optimized Dynamics Algorithm New (FRODAN) was used to determine representative structures. Results:Novel methods to measure tau conformational changes and aggregation demonstrated the effect of small molecule oligomerization inhibitors. There is a correlation between the activity of the inhibitors in an in vitro oligomerization assay and the measured changes in tau conformation. Conclusions: By utilizing electrochemical and mass spectrometry techniques, we have demonstrated small molecule dependent changes in tau conformation. This information will be used for optimization of small molecule inhibitors against tau misfolding and aggregation.
