statistics, correlations, Chi Square analyses, and logistic regression analyses were completed. Results: A total of 572 physical therapists with a mean age of 44.5 years and whose highest level of education was a doctoral degree (58.8%) completed the survey. The strongest predictor of whether a therapist was likely to screen for cognition was the time spent with older adults. Neither the therapists’ education nor years in practice did not significantly influence their likelihood to screen cognition as a part of a fall risk assessment. Conclusions: Cognitive screening as a part of a fall risk assessment may not be routinely performed by physical therapists in the United States. In order to address this gap in practice, further education is needed to improve screening efforts as a part of practice.
