evaluated PON and SWM as alternative reference regions for normalizing amyloid-tracer signal intensity in standard ROIs, and found that both regions appear to be more stable than the CER. Given the importance of a stable reference region detecting small changes in cortical amyloid, it is critical to identify regions with little or no change in amyloid accumulation to serve as reference region.
