the AD group compard with controls. After stratified age adjustment, copper (1146.26 6 188.68 mg/dl, p 1⁄4 0.049) alone was significantly higher in AD group. Serum copper levels correlated with good results on the Boston naming test (r 1⁄4 -0.151, p 1⁄4 0.037). Conclusions: High copper level may play a role in the neurodegenerative processes of AD.We need furthur studies to show the impact of high serum copper on the onset or progessin of ADmore directly.
