The comparisons between the performance of patients and healthy older adults in the spatial tests showed significant differences between groups, even when age and education were controlled. Further studies would be necessary to investigate the predictive diagnostic value of spatial decline in Mild Cognitive Impairment and to implement functional brain imaging protocols able to evidence the neurobiological substrates of spatial deficits in neurodegenerative disease.
