SSRI treatment is associated with less AD pathology and cognitive deficits in transgenic AD mouse models. These observations underscore of importance of early interventions for DS and for human clinical and neurobiological studies to evaluate the effects of such interventions in the early course. Conclusions: An integrated, translational research agenda will be presented to address these important issues.
