Ci+Cew 0.6. For all these complexes, no significant difference in incorporation was observed between K562 cells and K562/ADR cells overexpressing P-gp or when the cells were depleted in energy or in the absence of mitochondrial membrane potential. Conclusions: The complexes studied here are not P-gp substrate. Their intracellular accumulation is not energy dependent and they are not accumulated into the mitochondria. In conclusion, most of the bis(thiosemicarbazones) complexes studied here could potentially cross easily BBB.
