we demonstrate the use of a ‘‘virtual brain laboratory’’ as an environment that provides complete access in which to test models and technology for neuroprosthetic and fundamental research related to dementia and AD. Conclusions: Components of a virtual brain laboratory are presently emerging as a consequence of recent advances in neuroinformatics, and specifically due to the development of large-scale high-resolution computational models of the brain.
