and 2) Low fat and vegetables. In this study the early adult life pattern for AD patients was characterized by greater intakes of sugar and sweets, potatoes, meats, and milk. The patterns for healthy controls included greater intakes and vegetables and fruit as well as grain products (mostly bread). Conclusions: Dietary patterns during early adult life may be a risk factor for AD. This small study indicates early life dietary patterns defined by factor analysis with data from a food frequency questionnaire as characteristic for Alzheimer’s disease in a population of Poland.
