Therefore, even though in many circumstances no single brain region carries sufficient discriminating power, high sensitivity and specificity can be achieved by evaluating a spatial or temporal pattern that integrates measurements from many brain regions together. This presentation will discuss the principles of HDPC and will present examples from individual-patient classification using structural and functional brain images.
