He is surived by his lifelong comrade and wife, Donna Thal, PhD. he Alzheimer’s disease (AD) research community deeply aments the passing of a universally loved and admired eader of the field. Personally, my grief is over the loss of a ery kind, gentle, and generous friend. Through the years, eon had become a constant source of inspiration and the rother I never had.
