lower in the group of patients. Despite this memory loss in MCI patients, both groups showed a significantly better memory for positive than negative and neutral sentences, suggesting that the pattern of emotional memory is preserved in MCI. Conclusions: This finding, that memory performance in patients with MCI can benefit from the emotional content, may have implications for cognitive rehabilitation strategies in these patients.
