This article focuses on trafficking of women and girls for commercial sex work (CSW) in Cambodia. It discusses characteristics and data of sex trafficking such as: age of girl or woman location parental participation and whether the case involved a female trafficker. In addition it provides data on violence victimization which includes: forced sexual acts sexual abuse beatings deprivation of food and movement and STI infection. It concludes that current evidence suggests that young trafficked women in Cambodia are vulnerable to sex trafficking primarily within their country and by individuals that include family members.
