scripts in NAc and CP at different time points during the course of development of the depression phenotype. Both sirtuins were differentially regulated in NAc and CP at the onset of anhedonia and at full blown depression phenotype. Adeno-associated virus mediated overexpression and blocking of Sirt1 and 2 in NAc appears to have interesting behaviour phenotype. Investigations are being done to uncover the gene targets via which Sirt1 and 2 are acting to bring about neuroglial adaptations in reward circuit, induced by repeated defeat stress.
