By making use of reduced differential transform method (RDTM), we analyse two model problems: the potential KdV equation which is believed to replicate tsunami waves and the Benjamin equation which is used in the analysis of long waves in shallow water. Our principal focus is to investigated computationally the travelling wave solutions of both the equations using RDTM. These solutions are going to be extremely useful for explaining various other nonlinear phenomena arising in various dynamical systems. Keywords: Reduced differential transform method, Potential KdV equation, Benjamin equatio
