ESTRUCTURAS, REGÍMENES Y ARREGLOS ESPACIO-TEMPORALES. DIÁLOGOS CON LA TEORÍA DE LA ACELERACIÓN DE HARTMUT ROSA

ResumenUsualmente se considera los cambios en la estructura temporal de la sociedad moderna desde una perspectiva “macro” que descuida el rol crucial de la articulación, y constante negociación, entre regímenes espacio-temporales (nivel estructural) y arreglos espacio-temporales (nivel de la agencia). En este artículo se buscará mostrar que los regímenes espacio-temporales, entendidos como nuestra forma común de vinculación con el tiempo y el espacio, no son nunca una condición globalmente extendida. Junto con ello se intentará abrir la discusión sobre cómo la experiencia de aceleración del cambio social y el aumento de la contingencia pueden ser ambas interpretadas, de manera satisfactoria, desde la perspectiva de múltiples espaciotemporalidades. El uso de nociones como retracción y expansión espacio-temporal, así como, sincronización y desincronización espacio-temporal nos permiten dar cuenta del carácter multinivel de las estructuras espacio-temporales de la modernidad tardía. Con ello se pretende obtener un retrato más realista de los espacios de inconsistencia de la aceleración social, que hasta ahora han sido considerados sólo como efectos colaterales, y se favorece el movimiento desde lo que Hartmut Rosa ha llamado una “fenomenología de la aceleración social”, hacia la noción propuesta de “reestructuración espacio-temporal selectiva”.AbstractThe changes in the temporal structure of modern society are usually considered from a macro-perspective, which neglects the crucial role of articulation and negotiation, between spatio-temporal regimes (structural level) and spatio-temporal arrangements (agency level). The following paper seeks to show that the spatio-temporal regimes, understood as our ordinary way of relationship with time and space, it is never a condition globally extended. Along with this, it is intended to open the discussion about how the acceleration of social change and the increasing contingence could be both interpreted, successfully, from the perspective of multiple spatio-temporalities. The uses of the notion of spatio-temporal retraction and expansion, as well as, spatio-temporal synchronization and desynchronization, allow us for the account of the multilevel character of the spatio-temporal structures in the late modernity. Thereby, it is intended to obtain a more realistic picture of the spaces of inconsistence inside the social acceleration, which until have been considered only as side effects, favoring what Hartmut Rosa has called a “phenomenology of social acceleration”, moving the explanation to the notions of “spatio-temporal selective restructuration”
