Elastic area compressibility modulus (EACM) method was applied to measure the membrane elasticity of cultured dorsal root ganglion neurons from fetal and 3‐month‐old mice. The values of the EACM were 21.3in 3‐month‐old neurons and 2.8in fetal neurons. These results indicate that neural cell membrane elasticity decreases with aging.
