A guanine nucleotide binding protein tentatively designated G s ,(PIPK) which activates purified phosphatidylinositol‐4‐phosphate kinase in vitro, has been partially purified from rat liver membranes and identified as a small G‐protein with a molecular mass between 20 and 25 kDa.
