Yeast 6‐phosphofructo‐2‐kinase (PFK2) was purified about 4000‐fold by CM‐Sephadex and Blue Sepharose chromatographies. Yeast contained two kinds of PFK2, both with apparent M r values of 250 000 as estimated by gel filtration. The apparent K m values of the major components for fructose 6‐phosphate (F6P) and ATP were estimated as 0.5 and 0.7 mM, respectively.
