As the techniques for preparing ‘clean’, well‐defined nuclei, soluble chromatin, well‐defined nucleosomes or polynucleosomes, and unfixed chromosomes improve the information obtainable by immunological techniques will be more exact and defined. Table 1 lists some uses of aerological techniques in the study of chromatin, chromosomes and their components.
