Nodular thyroid disease is a very common finding in\udclinical practice, discovered by ultrasound (US) in about\ud50 % of the general population, with higher prevalence in\udwomen and in the elderly [1–4].\udWhereas therapeutic flowchart is quite established and\udshared for malignant lesions, multiple options are now\udavailable for patients presenting with benign thyroid nod-\udules, ranging from simple clinical and US follow-up to\udthyroid surgery.
