A new method of preparation of nanocapsules (NC) in a microemulsion (ME) is introduced in this paper. An oil‐in‐water (O/W) ME was used as the template to prepare NC with diameters below 100 nm by complex coacervation of acacia and gelatin. The effects of ME composition, polymer concentration, and the conditions of complex coacervation on the properties of the NC were investigated. Increasing the polymer content of gelatin and acacia in ME led to an increase of the size of the NC. The zeta potential of the NC is between −18 and −28 mV. The entrapment efficiency of β‐cypermethrin in NC manufacture is above 60%.
