A mathematical model has been developed for the oxidation kinetics of fish meal, based on assumptions of the theory of gas liquid reactions and the kinetics of homogeneous oxidation reactions. This foresees that if diffusional control exists for the oxygen, the observed reaction will be of the first order with respect to this component. The specific rate constant for the reaction will be a function of the interfacial area. The performance of the model was tested experimentally.
