Summary A method and an apparatus are described for the measurement of lather quickness of bar soaps and combinations. This method is capable of distinguishing differences in lather quickness as a function of soap stock composition, presence of additives, hardness, and temperature. Representative data obtained by the method are presented, and a theoretical interpretation of the test is given.
