Summary The gossypol‐like pigments, gossypurpurin and diaminogossypol, have been shown to react with aniline to give the same reaction product as does gossypol. These pigments also react with p ‐anisidine to give products whose absorption spectra exhibit maxima in the same positions as that of the reaction product of gossypol and p ‐anisidine.
