Phosphatidylcholine (PC), a major membrane phospholipid, is\udinvolved in a wide variety of celi functions. Invol vement of PC\udin signal transduction [i.e., phospholipase D (PLD)-mediated\udPC hydrolysis] is a well-characterized process, but very little\udis known about its metabolism after hormonal stimulus. We\udinvestigated this process in a weH-characterized experimental\udsystem, consisting ofL6 myogenic cells stimulated by Arg8_\udvasopressin (AVP), which rapidly activates PLD, inducing\udmeasurable PC hydrolysis in the plasma membrane (PM)
