Summary Data have been presented demonstrating a substantial improvement in atmospheric batch decolorizing of tallow when an activated adsorbent was used by supplementing it with added water. Negative results were obtained under similar conditions with a natural adsorbent. Studies on other phases of tallow decolorizing will be reported in subsequent articles.
