The subcellular localization of lipoxygenase‐1 and‐2 in the cytoledons of germinating soybean seeds [ Glycine max (L.) Merr. AmSoy] and seedlings was investigaed by direct labeling with immnogold complexes. Both lipoxygenase‐1 and‐2 were localized in the cytoplasm of all cotyledon cells. No gold labeling was observed on mitochondria, glyoxysomes, protein bodies, lipid bodies, or other organelles.
