The concentrations of the individual phospholipids and their fatty acid compositions were determined in lung tissue obtained from 10–11 and 14–15 week pregancies. In this early stage of pregnancy, the amounts and fatty acid compositions of the individual phospholipids did not change substantially. Our human embryonic lung tissue results were compared with the corresponding data for infants and adults.
