Abstract Separation by counter‐current distribution of individual molecular species of phospholipids are much improved by the use of CCl 4 :CH 3 OH:H 2 O (62∶33∶5 v/v) for lecithins and of heptane: CH 3 OH:H 2 O (50∶47.5∶2.5 v/v) for the methyl esters of the dinitrophenyl derivatives of phosphatidylethanolamines.
