In the current research the effect of the radius of a transducer, vibration frequency and anisotropic properties of the host structure on the occuring wave fields is analyzed. Semi‐analytical approach based on the Green's matrix representations and the Fourier transform is applied for calculation of dispersion curves and wave fields in two types of composite layups in a wide frequency‐thickness product range. The contribution of each wave mode in the excited wave field is analyzed. A method for decomposition of the Lamb waves is proposed and examined for the example of a combination of two ring‐shaped actuators.
