In this note, we consider some issues relevant for the application of Computational Fluid Dynamics to biomedical vascular investigations. More precisely, models for blood and vessel walls are briefly addressed together with some preliminary results in the numerical study of the fluid‐structure interaction problem arising when investigating blood flow in compliant walls.
