The present paper indicates that through some simple vector‐valved and 2nd‐order‐tensor‐valued invariant tensor functions anisotropic functions can be extended to isotropic functions merely with vectors and 2nd‐order tensors as extended variables. This result enables us to obtain representations of anisotropic functions using the much well‐known representations of isotropic functions. The thirty‐two crystal classes and almost all noncrystal classes are considered.
