The method of asymptotic expansion is an efficient method for simplifying complicated mathematical problems. But if the small parameter is a geometric one the physical interpretation of the result is more difficult. Here we present a new asymptotic expansion connected with the equation describing the deformation of linear plates. The steps of this method can be physically interpreted analoguosly as in the earlier methods however the resulting equation is different.
