The result of mathematical investigations of a balanced system with friction affected constraints are presented. In order to predict the system behaviour under perturbations inside the equilibrium zone, difference functions and shifting tendency functions are defined. With the help of deflections till the end of motion, respectively inital accelerations, these functions are established. The effect of friction and perturbation parameter variation on the shifting tendency functions is analysed, and the specific influence of the friction affected constraints is pointed out.
