The present paper deals with nonconvex BVPs in the framework of v. Kármán plate theory which lead to hemivariational inequalities and substationarity problems. By means of the method of regularization and with the aid of compactness arguments the existence of the solution for coercive and semicoercive problems is proved. Certain approximation results are given, too.
