This paper deals with dynamic processes of elastic‐plastic systems the behaviour of which is described by models that make use of internal state variables and internal forces. It is proved an existence‐uniqueness result with respect to displacements, strains, stresses, internal state variables and internal forces, and it is shown that these values depend continuously on initial values and external forces.
