Abstract Using multiple shooting techniques the two‐point boundary value problem for the flow between two counter‐rotating disks is solved numerically for Reynolds number R in the range 0 < R ≦ 20000. Relations between the two disks problem and the boundary value problem of a single disk are investigated.
