For an arbitrary form supercavitating hydrofoil, the author developed a linearized theory which included the following method; (i) a method to obtain the hydrofoil form for a given pressure distribution, (ii) a method to estimate the characteristics of a hydrofoil form. Some excellent kinds of hydrofoil‐form were calculated numerically.
