The present paper deals with the bending of a flat slab which carries a uniformly distributed load over its entire surface and is supported by rows of equidistant columns with circular sections. In the first place the bending moments in an infinitely extending plate which carries a load at the origin are solved. Then the bending moments in the flat slab are obtained as the sum of bending moments in the infinitely extending plate caused by the individual load and by the individual reaction from each column. The Weierstrassian elliptic functions are used conveniently for this purpose.
