Conformal mapping methods are applied to find exact solutions in finite terms for the small deflexions of certain thin clamped curvilinear plates subject to symmetrical loading distributed over the area of a circle or acted by isolated forces or couples at arbitrary or specified points. Plates bounded by the inverses of an ellipse with respect to internal or boundary points are included. Regular curvilinear polygonal plates bounded by n equal and very approximately circular arcs are also considered.
