The cover picture shows a dramatic color change when a 1‐(dibutylstannyl)‐1,4‐diphenylbutadiene derivative fused with a dibenzobarrelene skeleton is treated with BuLi. A large high‐field shift from 22 ppm to –229 ppm in 119 Sn NMR shows the formation of the corresponding five‐coordinated lithium stannate. The deep‐red color is due to the weak long‐wavelength absorption centered at 471 nm. TD‐DFT calculations exhibit that the absorption is brought by the excitation mainly from HOMO (σ bonds of the hypervalent tin moiety) to LUMO (π* orbital of the 1,4‐diphenylbutadiene moiety)( see article 202100227).
