The cover picture shows a scan‐rate dependent thermal hysteresis loop for an iron(II) spin crossover complex. Intermolecular interactions between the iron centres, illustrated as dashed lines in the packing diagram, are responsible for the observation of bistability of the high spin and the low spin state, but also for kinetic effects. A faster scan rate leads to an apparent wider hysteresis loop, thus very slow measurements are necessary to correctly determine the spin crossover properties of the material.
