Synthesis of Homo‐ and Heteroleptic Al, Ga and Zn Complexes Containing (Per)fluorinated β ‐Diketiminate Ligands

Alkane elimination reactions of equimolar amounts of 17 Fnac 2 H ( 17 Fnac 2 H = FC[C(CF 3 )NC 6 F 5 ] 2 H) with ZnEt 2 and AlMe 3 as well as 16 Fnac 2 H ( 16 Fnac 2 H = HC[C(CF 3 )NC 6 F 5 ] 2 H) with GaMe 3 yielded the corresponding heteroleptic complexes of 17 Fnac 2 ZnEt ( 1 ), 17 Fnac 2 AlMe 2 ( 2 ), and 16 Fnac 2 GaMe 2 ( 3 ), whereas reactions of two equivalents of 16 Fnac 2 H and 17 Fnac 2 H with either ZnEt 2 or Cp* 2 Zn gave homoleptic Zn II complexes ( 16 Fnac 2 ) 2 Zn ( 4 ) and ( 17 Fnac 2 ) 2 Zn ( 5 ), respectively. 1 – 5 were characterized by IR and NMR spectroscopy ( 1 H, 13 C, 19 F), elemental analysis and single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction.
