The Front Cover , designed by Michał Rams, Sabine Nick, and Christian Näther, shows a compound schematically, in which metal cations are linked by bridging ligands into chains. Within a chain all spins are ferromagnetically aligned but neighboring chains are antiferromagnetic coupled. Such behavior is present in Ni(NCS) 2 (4‐methoxypyridine) 2 that is the key compound in this paper. The crystal structure and magnetic properties of this compound are described together with some precursors that, upon heating, transform into the chain compound. More details are discussed in the paper by Näther et al. on page 1760 ff .
